Welcome!

Welcome to Back Porch Jewelry!

Back Porch Jewelry is not assembly line jewelry. Many of the pieces on this site can be ordered and can be made like the picture depending on the availability of the beads. I do not keep an inventory of these pieces so when you order a piece of jewelry it is made for you and can be customized however you want. If you see a piece of jewelry you like but need it in a different color, size, gauge or length that can be done. Just drop me an email at MyBackPorchJewelry@gmail.com and we will work together to make the perfect piece of jewelry for you. I also have some items for sale from my shop on Etsy.

Red and Black Wire Bracelet

Red and Black Wire Bracelet

This is another bracelet designed for the Wolfpack fan. It is made with all glass beads. This is the last one I have with the glass side beads. I can't find the side swirl beads so any more I make will have to use Swarovski crystals on the side like the turquoise and green bracelet. That is one of the draw backs of custom jewelry. I don't buy my beads in large quantities and sometimes I can't find them again. The benefit is your bracelet can be as unique as you want it to be. This bracelet was also done in purple and gold.

Bracelet - $20

Turquoise and Green Wire Bracelet

Turquoise and Green Wire Bracelet

This is the wire bracelet done in turquoise and green. This bracelet uses a glass bead for the focal bead and Swarovski crystals for the side beads. I used silverplate wire and pewter beads in this bracelet. It can be made to any wrist size.

This bracelet can be made with any color or style of beads. The Purple and Gold Wire Bracelet and Red and Black Wire Bracelet shows this bracelet done in ECU and NCSU colors.

Bracelet - $20

Purple and Gold Wire Bracelet

Purple and Gold Wire Bracelet

This bracelet was made in ECU colors for my son's girlfriend. The focal bead is a beautiful glittering butterscotch disk. The side beads are a crazed purple gemstones. I used silverplate wire and pewter beads. I've also made this bracelet in Wolfpack red colors and a turquoise and blue combination. Do you have an outfit that you want to match? I can find beads to customize this bracelet for you.

Sterling Silver Spiral Bracelet

Sterling Silver Spiral Bracelet

This spiral bracelet is a delicate bracelet that looks stunning by itself and also looks great worn with one of the other chainmaille bracelets such as the Byzantine or the Jens Pind. It is made with very delicate 4mm half rings which look like tiny wedding rings. They are linked together to make a tight spiral pattern.

Silver Wave Bracelet

Silver Wave Bracelet

Here is another very popular wave bracelet. It matches the Long Silver Necklace but it also can be worn with lots of pieces of jewelry since it all silver.

Sterling Silver Byzantine Bracelet

Byzantine Bracelet

When I first saw this bracelet I thought it just looked messy but now it is one of my favorite bracelets. I find I wear this one and one called Jens Pind or my 6-in-one spiral together all the time. Pictures of these will be posted soon. It is thin and flexible and just the right width to wear by itself or with another bracelet. It can be made much heavier though. I made this pattern into a necklace for one of my sons using a larger heavier 12 gauge ring. It turned out fantastic.

This bracelet is made using all .925 sterling silver and a sterling clasp. It can be made in a variety of gauges which will make the bracelet heavier or finer. If you would like it in a different gauge I will send you a quote on the cost in that gauge.

The Alexandria Bracelet

Bead weaving is another technique to create jewelry. This is the first one I made using this technique. It is a very pretty bracelet that can be made with a wide variety of beads, crystals or pearls. This one is made with fire polished glass Czech beads, Swarovski crystals and small seed beads.

This is a custom order bracelet. If you like the style of this bracelet I can find just the right beads and crystals to make it in the colors you want. After you tell me what color you have in mind and whether you want a silver plate or sterling clasp I'll suggest some beads and give you a quote.

Wolfpack Wave Bracelet

I just made this bracelet this weekend. I really wanted to get it up so Wolfpack fans could order one before the first game this fall. This is a very popular bracelet in any color but the red and black with the silver looks really nice.

It is made with silver plate wire. It is adjustable but let me know what size you usually wear so I can make sure it will fit you just right. I have a limited supply of the black and silver beads so don't wait too long.

Baby's First Sterling Bracelet

In February I was blessed with a granddaughter. I have 3 wonderful sons and was already blessed with 2 precious grandsons but now I have a granddaughter to spoil with all the handmade frilly PINK items. I've saved needlework patterns for years in anticipation of a little girl so it didn't take long to make her a bracelet.

This bracelet is only about 4" long. It is made with sterling silver half round rings which make it delicate and very light weight. I used sterling silver block letters with her initials and tiny pearls. I can also use small 4mm or 6mm swarovski crystals in place of the pearls and the initial blocks.

Please allow extra time on this bracelet to order the sterling silver initial blocks.

Herringbone Bracelet

When I saw this bracelet I had to make one. Luckily my girlfriend had made it and she showed me how. I love how this bracelet changes when I wear it with different colors. It is great with jeans but looks really great with the bright greens or purple too. The shiny round beads and matte square beads give this bracelet a nice texture.

This is also a good bracelet for the sports fan. I can alternate school colors to make a nice bracelet for game day. Check out the Wolfpack version. Send me your school colors and I'll find the right beads to customize a bracelet for you.

I can make this bracelet in almost any color combination. Of course I had to try it in black. I put the silver crystals with the black squares. This combination is dressy but can also be worn with casual outfits.

Black Wave Bracelet

This is a unique bracelet that grabs people attention. I've had lots of people ask me where I got this bracelet. It is very light weight and comfortable to wear. It is made with silver plate wire, black and silver beads. It goes great with the Long Black Necklace.

Bracelet - $30

Long Black Necklace

I wear this necklace more than any necklace I have. It goes with probably 75% of my outfits. I didn't realize how much I gravitate toward black clothes or things that go with black until I started making jewelry.

This necklace is made from silver plated wire and chain, pewter rings and links, and a combination of different black beads and stones. It is 36" long.

The earrings are made with a light weight silver ring and a very light weight bead making them very comfortable to wear. I use sterling wires.

The Black Wave Bracelet goes great with this necklace.

Sterling Silver Full Persian Bracelet

Full Persian Chainmaille Bracelet

Chainmaille jewelry is made by connecting individual rings in a pattern. A few years ago I saw this bracelet and taught myself how to make it. It is a tedious process but they are beautiful bracelets and well worth it. This bracelet is made by connecting over 130 individual .925 sterling silver rings. The clasp is also sterling silver.

I made this bracelet for the girls for their birthdays. I know they like their bracelet because I see them wearing them all the time. It is a great bracelet to wear when you get dressed up and also looks fantastic with jeans.

I have a few different styles of clasps. If you see one you like better on one of the other sterling silver bracelets just let me know.

The bracelet is about 3/8" wide. I can make this bracelet heavier or thinner by changing the gauge and diameter of the rings.

Bracelet - Due to varying price of sterling silver, email me for price

Wolfpack Small Wave Bracelet

It is almost the start of a new school year and football season so I will be posting some jewelry for the college enthusiast. I will tell you upfront I am a BIG Wolfpack fan so there will be lots more jewelry done in red and black.

I have made a few pieces for the other ACC teams and I'll be posting those soon. I can make this bracelet for any school if you let me know the colors.

It is a fun bracelet to wear and you will look great at the next game or tailgate!

The bracelet is adjustable but let me know what size bracelet (in inches) you wear so I can make sure it will fit well. It is made with silver plate wire and 8 -
10mm beads. The bracelet is 9/16" wide.

I have earrings that match this bracelet and will post those soon as well.

Bracelet - $20

Long Silver Necklace

This is one of my favorite necklaces.

You can wear it with with almost everything. My daughter-in-laws both requested this necklace so it is very popular with the younger women too.

I used a combination of silver plated and pewter beads in this necklace. Chain is used around the back of the neck to allow the necklace to lay nice under collars and also make the necklace more comfortable to wear. It is 36" long.

I made the matching earrings with silver disks used in the necklace. Any of the beads used in the necklace could be used for earrings.

This necklace is available for order and can be customized. Please allow 1-2 weeks.

Necklace - $40
Earrings $12

Welcome to Back Porch Jewelry

A few years ago a friend of mine tried to get me to make jewelry. It was a passion of hers and she thought I'd like it. I told her I didn't have time but shortly after that my future daughter-in-law was looking for jewelry for her bridesmaids. My girlfriend helped me design the bridesmaid necklaces and I didn't know it then but that was the start of Back Porch Jewelry.

Bridesmaid's Jewelry

Since then I've learned to make all different styles of jewelry. I've made gemstones jewelry, sterling silver chain maille jewelry, seed bead jewelry and a whole line of jewelry for the college sports fan (with a strong preference for red and black). Go Wolfpack!

North Carolina weather allows me to spend many hours on our back porch enjoying the birds and beautiful view. Many pieces of my jewelry have been created on this back porch so it seemed fitting to name my line of jewelry Back Porch Jewelry.

The Back Porch

I will be sharing some of my favorite pieces on the blog. Many pieces are available for sale but some are a one of a kind piece.

Can't find jewelry to compliment that new outfit? I would be happy to work with you to create that special piece.
